(1) Can I swap it out with the GM 220-amp alternator (GM 84143541) with not problems? Will I need to upgrade any of the wiring? Easy enough, but for anyone doing it, don’t take the shield with the housing. All you need to do are the two 13mm bolts at the back, top/side. You’ll understand when you look at it.The chart below shows general L5P Duramax maintenance and service intervals.
